Maria Cherkavskaya
Maria Cherkavskaya, a distinguished soprano, began her illustrious musical journey in Moscow. A graduate of the prestigious Vishnevskaya Opera Center, she honed her craft under the guidance of esteemed mentors Galina Oleynichenko, Lydia Skusnichenko, and Makvala Kasrashvili. Maria’s rich education was further enriched by masterclasses with renowned maestros Dmitry Vdovin and Teymuraz Gugushvili.
During her time at the Vishnevskaya Opera Center, Maria mastered an impressive repertoire, embodying roles such as Gilda in Rigoletto, Marfa in The Tsar’s Bride, Frasquita in Carmen, and Musetta in La Bohème. Her versatility and passion shone brightly in 2022 when she captivated audiences as Adina in L’elisir d’amore during the OperaLab project.
Now residing in Vienna, the world-renowned “Capital of Music,” Maria Cherkavskaya continues to enchant with her extraordinary talent, sharing her gift through frequent concerts and performances. Her journey reflects a deep dedication to opera, and her voice continues to resonate, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of music lovers everywhere.
